Tony Khan praised Ilja Dragunov when asked whether AEW has interest in him, while saying he does not track the contract situations of wrestlers outside his company.
Dragunov’s WWE contract expired this month, and the former United States Champion had been off WWE television since April. Khan was asked about him at the Death Before Dishonor post-show media scrum.
“I’m not sure about the contractual status, but that’s a tremendous, tremendous professional wrestler, absolutely. I don’t know exactly what the contractual status is of people that don’t work here, I can’t keep track of those things and there is no way for me to know that, but one thing I do know is that’s a great wrestler,” Khan said.
