WWE’s interest in a relationship with Disney predates the ESPN deal, according to Fightful Select.
The report follows TKO President Mark Shapiro’s comments about a possible WWE and Disney partnership for 2027. A source told the outlet that talks have covered more than WWE-branded events at Disney properties in Orlando, Florida, though nothing is official.
One idea discussed is the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, which has a 9,500-seat arena that could host WWE events along with larger fan experiences. The report added that WWE has looked at concepts along the lines of ESPN Fan House.
WWE talent are expected to start appearing on Disney+ programming over the next year.
