TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth says Leon Slater could be “running pro wrestling for the next 20 years,” but insists he will not lose to him at Bound for Glory.
Speaking with Adrian Hernandez, Nemeth said he has spent two and a half years praising the 21-year-old, adding, “He’s smarter than he should be. His ring IQ shouldn’t be as high as it is right now and it’s already high.”
Nemeth acknowledged that Slater deserves a title run and could become the youngest TNA World Champion ever, but said his experience gives him the edge, saying, “Because of the years that I have in the background, because of my ring general and ring IQ, I got him beat there. And that’s where the match is going to come down to.”
Nemeth defends the TNA World Championship against Slater at TNA Bound for Glory on October 11.
