Nyla Rose says AEW had plans for a street fight between her and Vickie Guerrero that were never realized.
Speaking on the Krazy Train Podcast, Rose said the pairing was one of the most enjoyable stretches of her AEW run, saying, “Me and Vickie had, like, some of the most fun just getting to be unhinged. I think I like to think I brought a more unhinged side of her out. She kind of polished me up, and we just played off of each other so well.”
Rose said the angle in which she was hit by a car was part of the build, explaining, “We came together as the Vicious Vixens. I wanted it to become a faction. I wanted to build it to become a faction, with the ultimate payoff being, like, a street fight between me and Vickie.”
She said the car was meant to serve a purpose for a non-wrestler, saying, “Vickie is not a wrestler. She needs a great equalizer. Why would she not run me over with a car?”
Rose said the COVID-19 pandemic interrupted those plans, adding, “It hopefully was going to build to, like, this big, big culminating moment, but we didn’t get there unfortunately.”
