WWE has a backup venue in the United States ready for Crown Jewel if the show cannot go ahead in Saudi Arabia, according to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.
Crown Jewel is scheduled for November 7 in Riyadh. As of October 15, the show was going ahead as planned. WWE and the talent and staff set to travel to Riyadh are working under the assumption that it will take place there unless they are told otherwise. No decision on a change has been made.
The report followed Riyadh Season’s postponement of the Six Kings Slam tennis exhibition from October 21-24 to December 27-30. Riyadh Season cited logistical reasons for the move.
Bryan Alvarez reported on October 13 that Riyadh was still the planned site, with an undisclosed U.S. city under consideration as a backup.
