On the latest episode of the “Extreme Life of Matt Hardy” podcast, the TNA star discussed a wide range of topics.
During the podcast, Hardy talked about Mark Henry’s departure from AEW.
“It wasn’t surprising to me really. I think AEW is going for a younger roster of people that kind of work the AEW style you know that do the more five star slash banger matches, I think that’s what AEW is looking for more than anything else right now. I think Mark Henry could have been a contributing factor and some sort of TV role. I think things he did from a recruiting standpoint he was helping with a lot of special events and charity things and just promoting the company in many ways and he’s really good at all that he’s very much a people person who gets out and networks and speaks with different people. But I mean March is gonna be fun. You know, guys like me like guys more. I mean, we’ve made our money, you know, we’re good when it comes to stuff like that. And I think it was really important for him to try and help promote AEW and make you grow because everybody is pulling for AEW to do as good as you possibly can. Because AEW is essential to the health of the pro wrestling industry in 2024.”
