Kenny Omega has been out of action for several months before finally having surgery. Fortunately, he is back to face Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty.
During this week’s episode of Dynamite, a new hype video for Omega’s return was shown. Excalibur stated, “We hope to see him back in AEW very soon.”
Omega has not wrestled since December 2023 after being diagnosed with diverticulitis and undergoing surgery. Fightful Select reports that they were told that the match at Wrestle Dynasty was done with AEW CEO Tony Khan’s blessing. AEW viewed it as a good gesture towards the relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Those within the company and near Omega have claimed that it’s been discussed as happening by the December 28 World’s End PPV.
