AEW star Will Ospreay appears to be making excellent progress in his recovery from neck surgery. The Body Alignment Clinic in Rainham, Essex, posted a new update on the former AEW International Champion, who has been sidelined since August after being written off television at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Ospreay underwent successful neck surgery last month to deal with herniated discs. The clinic’s new post shows him 6 weeks post-operation and in good spirits.
“@aew Allstar @willospreay 6 weeks post op and doing great! Still some way to go with but we’re on the right road. Jan 2026 Don’t Try This At Home! #aew #willospreay #bodyalignmentclinic #teamstraightspine”
The “Jan 2026” tease is the most significant part of the update, suggesting Ospreay may be targeting a return to the ring at the beginning of the new year, which could line up with NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom week or the build to AEW’s Revolution pay-per-view.
Ospreay’s last match was at Forbidden Door on August 24, where he was part of the victorious team in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match against the Death Riders. He was subsequently attacked by the group to write him off television for his planned surgery.
