Update On Stephanie Vaquer’s Injury Status

WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer is banged up.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Vaquer is dealing with a legitimate injury. Fans noticed the champion sporting a walking boot during the premiere episode of Monday Night Raw on Netflix this past week. The injury was incorporated into a storyline where she was attacked and targeted by Raquel Rodriguez.

“The severity of Vaquer’s injury is unknown as of this writing, but she is cleared for contact,” Sapp reported.

The fact that she is cleared for contact is a positive sign, suggesting the injury may not be severe enough to force her to vacate the title. Vaquer recently retained her championship in a triple threat match against Nikki Bella and Rodriguez, continuing her reign as one of the pillars of the Raw women’s division. With Royal Rumble season underway, WWE will likely manage her physical activity carefully to ensure she is ready for the road to WrestleMania.
