Kota Ibushi is preparing for another surgery on his broken femur, but says it will not end his AEW career.
Ibushi confirmed he has been hospitalized ahead of a September 17 procedure in which doctors will remove the plates currently in his leg and replace them with stronger ones, after determining the originals were too weak. He said the repeated procedures have left him exhausted, writing on Instagram, “I am so exhausted from having to go through surgery after surgery. But I am not giving up. I refuse to let something like this end my professional wrestling career.”
Ibushi last wrestled in October 2025, when he broke his leg.
