Jon Moxley broke down backstage on the October 14 Dynamite and Collision special.
The show opened with the Death Riders’ Moxley, Daniel Garcia and Gabe Kidd losing to the Don Callis Family’s Mark Davis, Jake Doyle and Wardlow. Davis pinned Moxley. Moxley defends the AEW Continental Championship against Davis at WrestleDream on October 17.
Late in the show, Moxley was being interviewed by his wife, Renee Paquette, when he began throwing objects and smashing wooden pallets before dropping to one knee.
“I’m in a great deal of pain,” Moxley said. “I can’t tell the difference anymore.”
Marina Shafir then knelt next to him.
“Eyes up. Lock in. The only way out is through. You understand me?”
Moxley repeated “through” and left with the group.
