Samantha Irvin joining AEW has been discussed internally, but she is not expected to appear right away, according to Fightful Select.
“Fightful Select confirmed Irvin joining AEW has been discussed, but she won’t be jumping on board immediately,” the report said.
Irvin, whose real name is Samantha Johnson, becomes a free agent this month, two years after leaving WWE. She said last October that she was one year into a two-year non-compete with WWE.
Irvin is married to AEW’s Ricochet and has attended many AEW events backstage over the past two years. She has said ring announcing was never her goal.
